When is Camp?

June 6-13, 2021 for Selected Auditioned KCBBC Campers.

June 8-10, 2021 for KCBBC Audit, Educators, and Parents.

Camp Sessions will take place from 9AM - 6PM CT
Evening Activities will take place from 7PM-9PM CT

Camp Sessions take place live, in real time in the Central Time Zone.

Can I audition?

If you completed 8-12th Grade in 2020-2021, you are eligible to audition. KCBBC recognizes that diversity and inclusion make for a brighter camp experience and we encourage diverse students from across the globe to apply!

Audition materials are due by March 19th, 2021 at 5PM Central Time. It is FREE to audition.

I am an international student, we don’t have the same grades. What ages are grades 8-12?

In the United States, Grades 8-12 include ages 13-18. This program is for students who have not yet entered University.

What do I need for my audition?

Before you start to fill out the Audition form, you should have:

  • A headshot or recent photo (jpg)

  • A resume of your performance experience (pdf)

  • A Link to a video of you singing a Musical Theatre piece (1 min max)

  • A Link to a video of a contrasting piece - this could be dance, monologue, song, or other talent where you shine! (1 min max)

Links can be YouTube, Vimeo, iCloud, Google Drive, or Dropbox, as long as they are not password protected.

We recommend testing your link with family or friends before you submit them to us.

How do I apply for a Tuition Assistance Scholarship?

On the KCBBC Audition Application, there is a question about Tuition Assistance Scholarships. Please check the box on that question if you are requesting a scholarship to attend. Once you are accepted to camp, we will send you more information about how to qualify for our need-based scholarships.

How do I sponsor a student’s tuition?

If you would like to sponsor a student’s tuition to camp, please email us and we will add you to the list of generous sponsors and contact you when there is a matching student who needs assistance.

I auditioned last year, do I have to audition again?

Yes! If you auditioned for KCBBC last year, we would LOVE to see you audition again! It’s been a year since we’ve seen you, so we are looking forward to seeing your growth since last year.

If I don’t make the audition, can I still register for KCBBC AUDIT?

YES! We encourage it! We are planning an amazing week for CAMPERS and AUDITORS alike!

Is there an age restriciton?

Kristin Chenoweth’s Broadway Bootcamp is for students who completed 8-12th Grade in 2020-2021.

KCBBC AUDIT does NOT have an age restriction. However, our programming is geared toward high school students, educators, and parents.

We recommend that KCBBC AUDIT participants under 13 view with an adult’s supervision.

Do I need to audition for KCBBC AUDIT?

Nope! KCBBC AUDIT is not auditioned and there is no age limit! Anyone can join from anywhere! Because the AUDIT participants are not creating performances for the final show, and you can come and go as your schedule permits during the 3 days.

Who reviews the auditions?

All auditions and applications are reviewed by our faculty of Broadway professionals.

When will I hear if my audition was accepted as a KCBBC Camper?

We aren’t sure how many submissions to expect this year. We are hoping to let everyone know by the end of April whether or not they are accepted.

Please do NOT enroll for KCBBC AUDIT until you have heard about the status of your audition.

I am an educator but I don’t have an .edu email address. Can I still receive an educator discount?

Yes! Sign up on the signup page, and indicate your teaching status. Then Email us with your information, a link to a website, social media, or some other confirmation about your teaching status and we’re happy to add you to our educator list.

I’m a KCBBC alumn! Can I intern?

Yes! We will have interns this year! Both onsite, remote and even pre-camp for some test rehearsals. If you are KCBBC alumni and would like to apply to be involved, click HERE

I signed up for the mailing list, should I be receiving emails?

We periodically send emails out with the latest announcements and updates regarding KCBBC. If you are not receiving these emails, please check your spam folder. You can also email us for additional assistance.

If/when you are accepted to KCBBC, you will begin receiving regular emails and updates as well as technical guidance to prepare you for camp.
